CONGRATULATIONS on being named to the 2025-2026 TWHS Cheer Competitive Team!
The competitive season consists of three competitions including the Texas UIL State Spirit Championship where TWHS Cheer has placed in the Top 10 numerous times and won 1st place in Band Chant in 2024. The 2025-2026 team has added the new goal of representing The Woodlands High School at Nationals this year at Walt Disney World, in Orlando. Go, Highlanders!

The coaches select the UIL/Competition team which consists of interested Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors with the needed/necessary skills (tumbling, stunting, signwork, etc.) All Juniors and Senior who are not named to the team by the coaches are eligible to practice and travel with the team as alternates.

All competition costs are being combined into one budget this year.
The estimated total cost for all three competitions is approximately $2,500 per cheerleader.
However, with fundraising and CPC support, the out-of-pocket cost per family will be approximately $1,500

This year we will engage SchoolFundr for our fundraiser.
Every dollar we raise will help offset the total cost of the competition season and thereby reduce the per cheerleader out of pocket cost.

No. Any fundraisers undertaken this year will support all three competitions.

This year the CPC Board allocated $25,000 from reserves to help support the inaugural season of the expanded competition slate. Those funds cover choreography fees, equipment, Woodlands Elite coaching, as well as travel to Orlando for coaches, chaperones and an administrator.

Yes. A good faith deposit of $300 is due August 15.
Additional installments will be due October 1, November 1 and December 15. Exact amounts are pending.

Regionals: November – Cheerleaders and parents will carpool to Rosenberg (60 miles)
UIL: January – Cheerleaders will ride charter bus to and from Fort Worth
Nationals: February – Parents will be responsible for getting their cheerleader to IAH. The team will travel via airplane to Orlando and then by private charter bus to the hotel. All transportation inside the grounds will be provided by Varsity. Upon return to Houston, parents will pick up their child at IAH.

Yes! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend all the competitions! Parents will be responsible for their own travel arrangements.

Two coaches, one TWHS administrator, and two parent chaperones will officially be in charge of the team during our stay in Orlando.

Travelers who are 18 years old must travel with their Real ID compliant Texas Drivers License or a valid passport.
Any traveler who has a driver’s license should travel with one, just in case.
